The Secret of Nagas – the provincial buildup

Touted as one among the ground breaking books in India fiction , ‘The Secret of the Nagas’ is the second book in the Shiva Trilogy by Amish. It is possibly everything that it is claimed to be except for a literary classic.

Secret of the Nagas

The back summary claims this :

” Book 2 of the Shiva trilogy takes up from the point where Shiva is dashing to save Sati at the end of The Immortals of Meluha. Does he succeed? His archenemy seems to be winning every encounter. All Shiva knows for sure is that the Chandravanshis aren’t evil. But then, neither are the Suryavanshis. So who or what is evil? And who is the mysterious Naga that stalks his family? What does he want? What is The Secret of the Nagas? “

The story of Toosh …

Long long ago there lived a dragon called Toosh. Now Toosh was young, intelligent and fun to be with. He wanted to explore the world, enjoy all it’s beauty and become a fire breather. So, he tried hard to become one and was always puffing and huffing.

Sneezing Dragon

But, sadly fate as usual had something different in course for him. He still couldn’t breath fire by the age of five. So, Toosh’s parents compelled him to go to flyers-school. While, Toosh loved learning new things, this school he had to go wasn’t at all nice. The classes were never fun, good teachers were rare and the bad ones acted as though they were the best in the world. Most of the students slept during the classes and were always fighting amongst each other. However, Toosh had no other option but to go to school.

Has Dan Brown lost it ? – THE LOST SYMBOL

I would love to say that ‘The Lost Symbol’ is a wonderful, fast paced and impossible to put down action thriller, but sadly IT ISN’T.
 Since, everybody who wrote a review placed a picture of the book cover, I will differ :D

The Capitol, Obelisk at Night

 Remember this picture carefully. For you will go round and round and round . See the obelisk, see the capitol, see the SMC . Go, now read the book and come back

Dan Brown is a great author. I would say on par with the legendary Sir Arthur.C.Clarke, who is a great man. The interesting thing about Brown’s work is more of the fact that he works in the present and hidden secrets of today and yesterday rather than tomorrow. This is hard. But predicting exactly what the future might hold is nearly impossible. But Clarke did it. So, Clarke still rocks

When the movie rocked, and the book sucked !*#?

I just finished reading Twilight. And it sucks  .

Twilight the book sucks

The reason I am so pissed is that I love books no matter how bad are my main hobby … But this one just sucked and I feel exhausted.

The movie was great ( recommended by my sister), in fact it is one among the best I have seen this year. But books always tend to be better than the movies. Always ! Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Angels and Demons, A walk to remember all were outstanding adaptations of books. Still, the magic of the books could not be outshadowed.
