Is crying wrong ?

Most of us feel embarrassed when someone cries in front of us. People tell others not to cry like a baby. Not to cry before everybody. Crying is generally looked down upon in this current society which we form part of. But even then, some people cry, cry in front of the entire world, like Roger :D

Federer crying after Australian Open

First of all,I’m an out and out Roger Federer Fan. And am still. And will be still. Now, that that’s out of the way, there is something about Roger crying, that I cannot help feeling strongly about.

Being Sick

Falling sick is perhaps too much fawned around that the real deal has lost it’s goriness. The real deal can be a nerve-wracking, throat-tearing sordid affair. The darned fever took hold of me last week and am still reeling a little from the cough.

Sick

One of the things people always ask is what type of fever. Do they expect the fever to actually submit a resume before catching hold of me. And even when I did say ‘viral’ fever people still go on and ask what type of ‘viral fever’.

Do we really need to watch kids in dance shows ?

After a long time, I finally had an opportunity at my grandma’s house to witness the full spectrum of the television channels available these days. Randomly browsing around I enjoyed the fact that I actually had different channels which had equally worthy content. Quite fascinating indeed ! Then I had the family come in and watch a particular dance show called Jodi No.1 Junior.

Jodi No 1 Junior

The kids all seemed to do it with great heart and gutso. And they all seemed to love it. The parents, the “senior” dancers and millions of television viewers who boost their TRP ratings. And the only one who seemed disgusted was me.

Just have a look at this .

500 days of Summer – Sheer Oxygen

There aren’t many movies which you like from the start. And even if you do, there are very very and I mean … very few movies you like till the end. 500 days of Summer is one among those movies. Movies you treasure and remember.

500 days of Summer

Ok, the movie officially starts with this …

This is a story of boy meets girl. The boy grew up believing that he’ll never be happy until he met ‘the one’.
The girl did not share this belief.
Again, This is a story of boy meets girl. But you should know up front, that this is not a love story.

An appeal to girlfriends of Friends

With so many people getting committed these days at college and there being no preamble whatsover upon how to deal with a friends who’ve just discovered the joy of taking the plunge, I thought upon at least making our ‘the glorious loners‘ voice heard.

Friendship and Love

So, here’s an appeal from a simpleton to all those girls who either have a boyfriend or are going to have one. I am not going to ask you much, just a lil bit here and a lil bit there to clear up any mess. Let’s start.

Hww 2 wirte a eaxm

What with all the exams flying around the heat is simply accumulating in my mind. During those long hours spent upon figuring out the answer in the exam hall … my mind frantically worked out the following wyas 2 wirte a eaxm

Exam Stresss

  • Bring the large, cumbersome, ugly idol that Mom worships often. Put it right next to you. Pray to it often. And also consider a small sacrifice like your neighbours eraser.
  • Answer the really long questions like “Explain how a network is created and established” with a short story about your childhood, or an experience that you once had. And finally end the story with “I just thought I should tell you this so that you can evaluate me better”.

The point of Exams

This is a letter to the Hon’ble Minister of Human Resources and Development, Mr.Kapil Sibal. There’s around 99.99% probability that he would never hear of this letter, but who knows ;) Anyway, before we start here’s the wise man whom I’m writing this to.

Kapil Sibal

Dear Mr.Kapil Sibal,
I know you have never seen me. But I’ve seen you a lot of times ( in TV, of course :P ). I love a lot of things about our country, but I hate a lot of things too. Now, You … You are doing good sir. Very good to be frank. Perhaps it’s that you are ready to change, not for change’s sake but for progress’s sake that makes me write to you or it’s something else, but I’m not sure.

How I spent a memorable evening

Ok … You are a genius if you can guess what we are trying to say in this video.

Now, this is a photo story ( a collection of photos that are supposed to give a coherent story ) we made up for Acumen, our intra departmental culturals.

This is how I spent an evening blissfully surrounded by good friends, taking photos, roaming around and having incredible fun. In fact, I almost felt like the other gautham for a while ;) .Moi’s responsible for most of the photos+editing+music. The other people in the gang were, Karthick, Gumba, Guru, Gopi, RML.

The Gang

I took that one. So :P

The story of Toosh …

Long long ago there lived a dragon called Toosh. Now Toosh was young, intelligent and fun to be with. He wanted to explore the world, enjoy all it’s beauty and become a fire breather. So, he tried hard to become one and was always puffing and huffing.

Sneezing Dragon

But, sadly fate as usual had something different in course for him. He still couldn’t breath fire by the age of five. So, Toosh’s parents compelled him to go to flyers-school. While, Toosh loved learning new things, this school he had to go wasn’t at all nice. The classes were never fun, good teachers were rare and the bad ones acted as though they were the best in the world. Most of the students slept during the classes and were always fighting amongst each other. However, Toosh had no other option but to go to school.

8 things to learn from Vinnai Thaandi …

Since, almost everyone I know raves about the film and it’s sweet romanticism. I thought about making some observations just in case you get caught in a gautham menonesque love.

Vinnai Thaandi Varuvayaa

  1. Always think twice before you choose Mechanical Engineering, cos there is a huge history there.
  2. Trains. Never miss an oppurtunity to go to a place in a train, especially long ones in the night ! But beware
  3. Slim, beautiful looking Malayalee girls ( especially those who look angelic in sarees ) are very very, and I mean very dangerous.
  4. You better have some money ( i.e. have a friend who has money) when you’re going to fall in love cause you’re probably going off to some place far far away which might even be America.
